We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team at Mission Regional Medical Center. As a Registered Nurse in this role, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the delivery of safe and effective care to our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care within the scope of practice, utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Direct and guide patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing care.
- Communicate effectively with physicians and other healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Current and valid state RN license.
- Current BLS certification upon hire and maintain current.
- Current ACLS certification 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
- Current PALS certification and/or ENPC 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
- Basic Arrhythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
- Minimum of one year experience as a staff nurse RN in an acute care hospital setting; E.R. setting preferred.
- Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN) preferred.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Experience in a Level III Trauma Center and/or Advanced Primary Stroke Center.
- Knowledge of EMTALA regulations and reporting of child/adult abuse to appropriate agencies.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
