The Registered Nurse (RN) is accountable for delivering safe patient care through the nursing process, which includes assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.

The Float RN may be assigned to multiple units based on operational needs and is expected to maintain proficiency in all assigned areas.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care within the defined scope of practice.
  • Guide and educate patients and their families, as well as oversee the activities of other nursing staff, while upholding professional nursing standards.
  • Assume direct responsibility for the care provided to assigned patients within designated units.

Qualifications:
Minimum of one year of experience as a staff RN in an acute care hospital setting is preferred. A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is also preferred.
Able to float to multiple units and maintain competency across assigned areas.
