Responsibilities:
As a Float Registered Nurse (RN), you will be integral to ensuring safe and effective patient care through comprehensive assessment, strategic planning, implementation, and evaluation. In this role, you will have the flexibility to work across various units as required, demonstrating proficiency in multiple areas. Key responsibilities include:
- Providing direct patient care and education to families.
- Supervising nursing staff and ensuring adherence to best practices.
- Communicating effectively with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
- Maintaining patient confidentiality and responding promptly to evolving clinical situations.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this position, candidates should possess the following qualifications:
- A current and valid state RN License.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire and ongoing maintenance.
- Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within 30 days of hire and ongoing maintenance.
- Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within 30 days of hire and ongoing maintenance.
- A minimum of one year of experience as a staff RN in an acute care hospital setting is preferred.
- A Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
- Ability to float to two or more units while maintaining competency in assigned areas.
