Job Summary

The Staff Development Engineer will be responsible for crafting, developing, and coding solutions to meet customer expectations and specifications. This engineer will work on applications and products that are on the forefront of technology, leveraging advanced programming skills to design and implement complex features, optimize performance, and ensure code efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Designs and defines the technical architecture and infrastructure required for digital solutions.
  • Writes code, develops software components, and implements complex functionalities according to project requirements.
  • Collaborates with other members of the development team and stakeholders to make high-level architectural decisions, proposes design patterns, and ensures scalability, performance, and maintainability of digital solutions.
  • Integrates various software components or systems, ensuring seamless communication and interoperability between different parts of the digital solution.
  • Writes and executes comprehensive test cases, conducts code reviews, performs debugging, and troubleshoots issues to ensure the reliability, stability, and high quality of digital solutions.
  • Participates in agile or other development methodologies, attends meetings, contributes to project planning, and helps drive the progress and success of digital projects.
Requirements
  • 7+ years of experience in large scale software development.
  • 5+ years of experience in developing applications/web services and cloud native apps using Java, Spring Boot, REST API, webservices, JPA, Junit, Mockito and other tech stacks (Open source and proprietary).
  • 3+ years of experience with Agile development.
  • 3+ years of experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes etc).
  • 3+ years of experience working in cloud platforms like GCP, AZURE, AWS etc.
  • 3+ years of experience with build and deploy services using GitHub, CircleCI, Harness, Jenkins, GITLab as part of CI/CD.
Preferred Qualifications
  • A track record of writing clean, high-quality, high-performing, scalable code.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience with optimization skills to improve performance, scalability, and usability of our applications.
  • Good presentation and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working with distributed systems.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good understanding and working experience in IT Security best practices and other compliance standards such as ADA, HIPAA, PCI DSS.
Education

Bachelor's degree or, equivalent experience (HS diploma + 4 years relevant experience).
