About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Development Engineer to join our team at Michael Page. As a Product Development Engineer, you will play a key role in the development of innovative machinery solutions for various industries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct Feasibility Studies: Conduct thorough feasibility studies and market research to identify potential product opportunities.
  • Design and Develop Products: Create detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and prototypes to bring new products to life.
  • Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with mechanical, electrical, and software engineers to ensure successful product development.
  • Test and Validate Products: Perform thorough testing and validation of new products to ensure they meet performance and safety standards.
  • Provide Technical Support: Offer technical support and guidance to manufacturing and production teams during the product launch phase.
  • Continuously Improve Products: Continuously improve and refine existing products based on customer feedback and industry trends.
  • Manage Project Timelines and Budgets: Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure timely delivery of products.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering: A bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering is required for this role.
  • 3-5 Years of Experience in Product Development: 3-5 years of experience in product development, preferably in the industrial machinery manufacturing sector.
  • Proficiency in CAD Software: Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and other engineering tools is essential.
  • GD&T and Mechanical Design Experience: GD&T and strong mechanical design experience are preferred.
  • Excellent Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills: Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills are required for this role.
  • Strong Mechanical Aptitude: Strong mechanical aptitude (automotive, electrical, or hydraulics experience) is essential.
  • Ability to Work Independently and as Part of a Team: The ability to work independently and as part of a team is required.
  • Strong Project Management Skills: Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, are essential.
