Contract Specialist at Washington State Department of Natural Resources

We are seeking a highly skilled Contract Specialist to join our team at the Washington State Department of Natural Resources. As a key member of our Olympic Region team, you will be responsible for managing timber sales contracts, coordinating with staff and purchasers, and ensuring compliance with agency regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and process timber sale documents for review, advertisement, and auction.
- Invoice and process payments of timber sales.
- Facilitate timber sale contracts; create/edit documents, obtain signatures, and maintain records.
- Coordinate with timber sale staff, purchasers, and division staff.
To be successful in this role, you will need a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and one year of experience in contract management, negotiation, or administration. You should also have advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Adobe Products, and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
We are looking for a candidate with excellent communication and organizational skills, who can interpret contract terms and requirements, and represent the agency in coordination and negotiation with other governmental agencies and private industry.
