Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Designer to join our team at AEC Resources. This role is pivotal in shaping the design and execution of high-profile projects, and working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver exceptional results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design Leadership - Initiate, create, and develop innovative project designs and plans for all phases of one or more projects, ensuring that the design intent is preserved throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Project Coordination - Coordinate with building design consultants, including structural, MEP, and other trades, to ensure seamless integration of all project components. Oversee and monitor the preparation of detailed design and construction drawings.
  • Client & Consultant Liaison - Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and consultants, maintaining clear and consistent communication to ensure project goals and objectives are met.
  • Presentation & Documentation - Prepare high-quality presentation materials, design drawings, and documentation that effectively communicate design ideas to clients, stakeholders, and the project team.
  • Project Planning - Lead the project planning process, including the development of schedules, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Quality Assurance - Review and ensure that all design work meets the highest standards of quality and adheres to relevant codes, regulations, and best practices.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 10 years of professional experience in architectural design, with a strong portfolio demonstrating a range of project types and scales.
  • Professional degree in Architecture from an accredited program.
  • Architectural licensure is preferred, with the ability to obtain licensure if not already licensed.
  • Proficient in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite. Familiarity with BIM processes and tools is an advantage.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present ideas clearly and effectively.
  • Demonstrated experience leading and mentoring junior designers and architects.
