Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Virtual Design Coordinator to join our team in our MN office. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing project models for all disciplines, providing technical support to the team, and acting as a resource for BIM-related questions and concerns.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage project models for all disciplines, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
  • Perform model maintenance, setup, and provide technical support to the team as needed.
  • Lead internal BIM project kickoff meetings and act as a main point of contact for project-related BIM matters.
  • Manage project folder organization and file sharing between IMEG disciplines and external partners.
  • Develop and implement IMEG-specific content and workflows to standardize practices between offices and teams.
  • Conduct BIM-specific quality control and review current procedures to ensure compliance with corporate standards.
  • Collaborate with other Virtual Design Coordinators and the Director of Virtual Design & Construction to ensure corporate standards are met.

Requirements

  • Strong Revit knowledge with emphasis on project setup and model management.
  • Ability to troubleshoot Revit/design software issues independently.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate with all levels of colleagues and clients.
  • Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in the production of technical plans and drawings.
  • Skill in the use of Microsoft Office programs.
  • Knowledge of practical applications of engineering science and technology.

Education and Experience

  • An Associate's Degree in Computer-Aided Drafting, equivalent degree, or five years' experience required.
  • 3+ years experience in the production of construction documents and models preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Regularly required to sit, walk, stand, talk, see, hear, and lift objects up to 25 pounds.
  • Occasionally required to drive, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, reach with hands or arms, and grasp or pull.
