POSITION SUMMARY:

The Senior Loan Operations Executive is responsible for overseeing the credit union's comprehensive lending portfolio. Reporting directly to the Executive Vice President, this role is pivotal in establishing lending policies and procedures that promote sustainable portfolio expansion. The executive will strategize, develop, and manage lending and business service protocols to ensure alignment with financial objectives, institutional growth, and compliance with regulatory standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Formulates and implements loan, interest, and reserve strategies to optimize financial returns while adhering to investment availability and regulatory constraints.
  • Supervises the AVP Loan Services and Business Services Manager, ensuring efficient operations.
  • Explores innovative lending solutions and collaborates with marketing to promote existing products.
  • Acts as the Credit Manager, overseeing a centralized lending framework.
  • Provides mentorship to underwriters and loan officers, establishing clear authority levels.
  • Fosters a culture of sales and service, implementing incentives for loan production and related services.
  • Maintains robust controls over lending and business service functions.
  • Analyzes financial reports to identify necessary adjustments in lending policies based on economic trends and organizational performance.
  • Communicates essential information regarding lending activities to relevant stakeholders.
  • Aligns branch sales strategies with the long-term vision of the credit union.
  • Leads a proactive sales environment, ensuring targets for growth and service are achieved.
  • Delegates responsibilities to subordinate managers for effective operational management.
  • Researches competitive lending services and recommends enhancements to meet member needs.
  • Serves as the primary liaison for organizations supporting lending operations.
  • Represents the credit union in professional and community engagements to promote services.
  • Sets performance expectations and provides constructive feedback to team members.
  • Participates in performance evaluations and makes recommendations for personnel decisions.
  • Addresses member inquiries and concerns with professionalism.
  • Ensures compliance with applicable laws and regulations in all lending activities.
  • Strives for operational efficiency and cost reduction.
  • Stays informed on regulatory changes and industry best practices to ensure compliance.

ADDITIONAL DUTIES:

Other responsibilities may be assigned by the President and/or CEO as needed.

SUPERVISORY FUNCTIONS:

This role directly supervises two key departments: Loan Services and Business Services, executing supervisory duties in accordance with organizational policies and legal requirements. Responsibilities include recruitment, training, performance management, and conflict resolution.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

A Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, with over 10 years in a related field, is required.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

While performing the duties of this role, the employee is regularly required to use hands and arms, communicate effectively, and occasionally lift up to 35 pounds.
