About the Role:
Aegis Living is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Culinary Services Director to lead our culinary department and create exceptional dining experiences for our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a comprehensive culinary strategy that aligns with the company's mission and values.
- Lead a team of culinary professionals to deliver high-quality food and beverage services that meet the needs of our residents.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide specialty food offerings and services for special events.
- Ensure compliance with local health department regulations and maintain a clean and safe food service environment.
- Manage the culinary budget and make recommendations for menu planning and food purchasing.
- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure the highest quality ingredients and products.
- Provide training and development opportunities for culinary staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Conduct regular quality control checks to ensure that food and beverages meet the highest standards.
- Develop and implement a customer service strategy to ensure that residents receive exceptional service and support.
Requirements:
- 3 or more years of experience as a Chef and Culinary Manager.
- Knowledge in all areas of menu planning, food preparation, and production.
- Experience working on cruise ships, country clubs, and/or batch cooking a plus.
- Knowledge in all areas of local health department, OSHA, and other regulatory agencies.
- Knowledge of management finance.
- Knowledge of computers and software applications including Word and Excel.
