Job Overview

JS International, Inc. is a prominent supplier of kitchen and bath cabinetry in the United States, dedicated to delivering high-quality products swiftly. With distribution centers strategically located across the country, we cater to a vast network of kitchen and bath dealers, ensuring all-wood cabinets are available for prompt shipment.

We are currently seeking multiple Warehouse Associates to support our operations. Candidates should be prepared to work in a warehouse setting and perform various tasks, including but not limited to order picking, shipping, cleaning, receiving, packing, assembly, and other general warehouse responsibilities.

Packer Responsibilities:
  • Examine finished cabinetry for quality and completeness prior to packing.
  • Work closely with quality control personnel to resolve any concerns regarding cabinet quality or packaging.
  • Operate the Packsize machine to create custom packaging for cabinets based on specifications.
  • Conduct regular inspections of packaged cabinets to ensure they meet quality standards and are properly labeled for shipping.
  • Maintain an organized packing area and ensure adequate supplies are available for packaging.
  • Perform final quality checks on packed cabinets to confirm they meet company standards before dispatch.
  • Collaborate with the packing lead and quality control team to address any quality or packaging issues that require further inspection or corrective measures.
  • Follow safety protocols while handling cabinets and packing materials.
  • Utilize proper lifting techniques to prevent injuries and ensure personal safety.
Picker Responsibilities:
  • Review and understand customer orders to identify the necessary cabinets and products for picking.
  • Use digital devices with warehouse management systems to locate and pick cabinets from designated areas within the warehouse.
  • Carefully handle and transport cabinets and related items to the assembly line or packing area, ensuring product quality and preventing damage.
  • Employ proper handling and stacking techniques while picking to minimize damage.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records, collaborating with picking and inventory leads to identify discrepancies, and participating in periodic stock checks.
  • Load outbound freight.
  • Adhere to safety protocols while performing order picking tasks, including proper handling of cabinets and the correct use of material handling equipment.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in the picking area to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Communicate any inventory discrepancies or issues with picked items to team leads.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to ensure a smooth workflow and assist in fulfilling orders during busy periods.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent work experience.
  • Previous experience in packing, order picking, or general warehouse environments is preferred.
  • Experience with packsize machines, RF scanner guns, and operating a forklift or electric pallet jack is advantageous (required for the order picker position).
  • Attention to detail and the ability to follow packing instructions accurately.
  • Basic math skills for counting and recording inventory.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.
  • Repetitive team lifts of up to 49 lbs are required.
  • Safety shoes are mandatory.

Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
