The Recycling and Material Processing Associate plays a crucial role in managing the flow of donations within a warehouse environment. Key Responsibilities

  • Operate heavy machinery and equipment, including compactors and pallet jacks, to efficiently handle and transport donated goods.
  • Sort and organize recyclable materials into designated bins based on type.
  • Maintain an organized workspace, ensuring all production areas are stocked with necessary materials.
  • Prepare items for store displays and recycling processes, adhering to company standards.
  • Ensure that waste and recycling containers are managed effectively to prevent overflow.
  • Follow all safety protocols to create a secure working environment for colleagues and customers.
  • Participate in cross-training initiatives to support various departments as needed.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess the following:

  • Experience in warehouse operations or material sorting is preferred.
  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Physical capability to lift and move items weighing up to 45 lbs unassisted and up to 75 lbs with assistance.
  • Strong communication skills to interact effectively with team members and customers.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Work Environment

This position requires the ability to stand for extended periods, engage in repetitive movements, and perform physical tasks in a fast-paced environment.
