Job Summary:We are seeking a highly qualified and dedicated educator to join our team as a Learning Disabilities Specialist. In this role, you will work closely with students, teachers, and parents to provide individualized support and accommodations to ensure students with learning disabilities have equal access to education.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) to meet the unique needs of students with learning disabilities.
- Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to provide accommodations and modifications to ensure students have equal access to education.
- Provide direct instruction and support to students with learning disabilities, focusing on skills development and academic achievement.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to keep them informed of their child's progress and involve them in the educational process.
- Stay up-to-date with best practices and research in the field of special education to ensure students receive the most effective support.
- Valid South Carolina teaching certification or ability to obtain within 60 days.
- Highly Qualified status in the content area or ability to become Highly Qualified within 60 days.
- Completed program of study in Special Education from an accredited college or university.
