The organization aims to enhance its presence in philanthropic circles to secure both major gifts and sustainable financial support. The successful candidate will be expected to maximize the fundraising potential and significantly increase financial contributions, with a goal of achieving and maintaining annual gifts of $5M or more within a three-year timeframe.

The Chief Executive Officer will have the opportunity to start with a fresh perspective, developing and implementing a comprehensive, multi-year fundraising strategy while playing a crucial role in enhancing the organization’s fundraising capabilities. This position operates within a collaborative environment, supported by a dedicated team across various functions including administration, finance, marketing, and human resources.

Key Qualifications:
  • Strong commitment to the mission of the organization.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
  • A minimum of 8-10 years of relevant experience, with a proven track record as a Major Gift Officer.
  • Demonstrated success in fundraising from foundations, corporations, grants, and individual donors.
  • In-depth understanding of fundraising principles, current trends, and the philanthropic landscape.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and donor management software.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to develop programs, lead teams, and establish effective systems and processes.
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and project management capabilities.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks independently.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as fundraising opportunities arise.
  • Willingness to work onsite.
