Key Responsibilities
  • Guest Services: Provide exceptional guest service to internal and external guests, demonstrating a commitment to our company's culture and values.
  • Team Leadership: Hire, motivate, train, coach, mentor, and direct staff to ensure that team members receive the leadership, guidance, and resources they need to achieve established objectives.
  • Facilities Management: Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of our property, including mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems, as well as grounds and exterior maintenance.
  • Budgeting and Cost Control: Manage utility expenses and lead initiatives to maintain the lowest possible costs through improved operational efficiencies and the deployment of new technologies.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, including OSHA and Hazcom standards.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; five years of experience in engineering, facility management, janitorial services, or a related field, with progressive supervisory/managerial experience.
  • Skills: Working knowledge of Excel and Word required; ability to formulate and communicate ideas and make independent decisions.
  • Certifications: Virginia Racing Commission License required.
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work in an environment exposed to secondhand smoke, moderate to loud noise levels, and varied light levels, including flashing lights.
