Position Summary: This role involves working under general supervision to conduct research, design, and development of software applications that serve enterprise-wide end-users, system levels, and data management. The position is crucial for ensuring compliance with software standards, evaluating software integration within the computing ecosystem, and maintaining comprehensive documentation, testing, and updates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze user needs and specifications to plan software development aligned with organizational objectives, focusing on end-user, system-level, and data management applications.
  • Create detailed implementation plans for software solutions, including design specifications, programming languages, platforms, and resource requirements.
  • Execute design implementation through coding, testing, and thorough documentation.
  • Oversee the deployment of applications across the organization, ensuring cross-platform compliance and resource availability.
  • Maintain and update code, addressing bugs and adapting to the evolving technological landscape.
  • Contribute to future application planning based on advancements in computer technology.
  • Engage with the software development team, users, and management, as well as the broader community.
  • Uphold the confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and obligations while conducting business on behalf of the company, ensuring a safe working environment.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field is typically required, with equivalent experience considered in lieu of formal education.
  • A foundational understanding of software development concepts, principles, and theories is essential, along with the ability to apply programming and analytical skills.
  • Strong candidates will possess a solid grasp of algorithms, data structures, and object-oriented programming principles.
  • Proficiency in C or C++, along with a working knowledge of Java or Python, is expected.
  • The ability to quickly grasp new concepts and apply them effectively in a dynamic environment is crucial.
  • Excellent communication, computer, and interpersonal skills are necessary for effective collaboration and documentation.
  • Capability to work independently as well as part of a team is essential.
  • Willingness to work extended hours as needed.
  • Eligibility to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance is required.

Compensation: Salary range is $71,950 - $109,885. Travel Requirements: Not specified. Relocation Assistance: Not provided. Citizenship Requirement: U.S. Citizenship is required. Clearance Requirement: Desired, with a Secret clearance level.

Workstyle: Hybrid.
