Key Responsibilities:
  • Formulate practical and innovative solutions to intricate engineering challenges.

  • Deliver presentations at engineering meetings, engage in program evaluations, and provide consultation on technical issues.
  • Offer expert advice and support to colleagues tackling complex engineering problems.
  • Anticipate future engineering requirements and necessary modifications to achieve technical objectives.
  • Address challenging technical issues with creative and novel approaches, utilizing advanced engineering principles.
  • May take on the technical and engineering accountability for the success of specific projects.
  • Oversee the activities of design or technical teams and may lead moderately experienced professionals.
  • Uphold the confidentiality of sensitive information.
  • Perform additional duties as required.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and obligations during business operations.
  • Adhere to safety protocols in accordance with established procedures.

Qualifications:
  • A bachelor's degree, master's degree, or PhD in engineering or a related technical field from an accredited institution, with progressive engineering experience: nine or more years with a bachelor's, seven or more with a master's, or four or more with a PhD. Equivalent engineering experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
  • Extensive technical expertise in engineering principles, concepts, and practices, with the ability to organize, plan, and coordinate workloads to meet deadlines, including some project leadership experience.
  • Quick comprehension of new concepts and the ability to apply them effectively in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills to facilitate effective collaboration with other departments and professionals, representing the organization as a primary technical contact and providing guidance to junior staff.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • A Professional Engineering License, published works in professional engineering journals, and invitations to present at engineering symposiums are advantageous.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Security Clearance.
