Job Overview:
Join PEAK Technical Staffing USA as an Embedded Systems Engineer, where you will play a crucial role in the engineering lifecycle of electronic systems tailored for the semiconductor manufacturing sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Engage in all stages of engineering initiatives, encompassing design, evaluation, system integration, support, and documentation related to electronics.
  2. Contribute to project assessments and design evaluations as a member of the Electrical Engineering team.
  3. Develop, refine, and troubleshoot firmware for various systems.
  4. Assist in production processes by analyzing issues, proposing solutions, implementing enhancements, and documenting modifications.
  5. Test and debug existing products to ensure optimal performance.
  6. Create and debug Python testing scripts to validate system functionality.
  7. Provide support on the manufacturing floor as necessary.

Leadership Role:
May offer limited guidance and training to junior technical staff.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or a related discipline from an accredited institution.
  • Experience: A minimum of four years of relevant experience is required.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Familiarity with sound engineering practices and adherence to established protocols.
    • Capability to independently write clear and structured code in C.
    • Ability to collaborate effectively with fellow developers, firmware, hardware engineers, and testers throughout the system development process.
    • Self-motivated with the ability to perform development tasks with minimal oversight.
    • Experience with microcontroller and microprocessor architectures, including peripherals such as PWM, DAC, Client, TCP-IP, SPI, and EtherCAT is advantageous.
    • Skill in proposing firmware architectures while considering CPU performance, data flow across multiple interfaces, and DMA loads.
    • Proficiency in evaluating CPU performance and debugging programs.
    • Understanding of RTOS principles and experience in programming within an RTOS environment.
    • Knowledge of Python programming is beneficial.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, coupled with effective written and verbal communication skills.
    • Capability to work independently on projects while collaborating with team members.
    • Design for manufacturability and serviceability.
  • Preferred Skills: Experience in developing and executing testing and validation processes is a plus.
  • Experience in product development for the semiconductor manufacturing industry is also a plus.

Work Environment:
Some travel may be necessary. Prolonged periods of sitting at a computer workstation may be required.
