Master Deck Project Coordinator

We are seeking a seasoned Master Deck Project Coordinator to lead our residential construction projects to success.

Key Responsibilities- Conduct pre-construction meetings with clients and sales representatives to review project details, ensuring accuracy and understanding of scope.
- Verify field sketches and drawings, identifying potential construction issues and ensuring costs are accurately reflected in the contract.
- Collaborate with the draftsman on code-compliant drawings, ensuring precision and compliance with regulations.
- Create and upload comprehensive material lists into JobTread, tagging them as 'Material List' for easy reference.
- Review material lists thoroughly for accuracy, ensuring all necessary materials are accounted for.
- Receive project assignments from operations managers, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Select vendors and ensure labor contracts are approved, maintaining open communication with clients regarding project status and estimated completion dates.
- Maintain clear communication with clients on project status, estimated start dates, and delivery schedules, keeping them informed throughout the process.
- Schedule and coordinate porta-john and dumpster services, ensuring efficient waste management and site cleanliness.
- Facilitate on-site kickoff meetings, ensuring a smooth transition to the vendor and establishing clear expectations.
- Perform daily site visits, documenting progress and potential issues on JobTread, keeping clients informed and addressing concerns promptly.
- Manage change orders by uploading details and consulting operations managers, ensuring timely resolution and minimal disruption.
- Log all project updates, tasks, meeting photos, and paperwork within JobTread, streamlining communication and ensuring comprehensive project tracking.
- Document phone calls and emails in JobTread, maintaining transparency and accountability throughout the project lifecycle.
- Clarify project specifications with clients, engineers, construction managers, and architects, producing an accurate list of project requirements, including manual labor needs and necessary materials.
- Comply with best-practice health and safety standards, preventing injuries and slowdowns at construction sites, and promptly reporting any safety regulation issues.
- Schedule construction operations and create a construction timeline to ensure project deadlines are met, balancing efficiency with quality.
- Establish organizational processes for tools, equipment, and vehicles, arranging for maintenance as needed and promoting efficient resource utilization.
- Communicate project status to key stakeholders by providing regular progress reports, fostering transparency and trust.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Project Manager in residential construction, preferably with a focus on decks.
- Strong understanding of building codes, permits, and safety regulations.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize effectively.
- Proficient in project management software and tools.
- Detail-oriented and able to juggle multiple tasks with accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Passion for quality craftsmanship and customer satisfaction.
- PMP certification is a plus.
- Strong communication skills, leadership skills, organizational skills, problem-solving skills, and time-management skills.
- Familiarity with construction project management software is highly valued.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or related fields.
- Knowledge of the construction industry and the entire building process, including building permits, blueprints, building codes, construction equipment, material resources, construction methods, and project management principles.
