Reporting to the Executive Chef or Food Service Director, the successful candidate will plan, administer, and direct all unit activities related to food production operations, ensuring compliance with Aramark Healthcare+ standards, regulatory agencies, and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities- Manage production for patient feeding and catering services.
- Oversee food cost management, food safety, and waste control initiatives.
- Train and manage kitchen personnel, supervising and coordinating all related culinary activities.
- Record inventory, estimate food consumption, and requisition or purchase food as needed.
- Select and develop recipes, standardizing production recipes to ensure consistent quality.
- Establish presentation techniques and quality standards, planning and pricing menus.
- Ensure proper equipment operation and maintenance, as well as proper safety and sanitation in the kitchen.
- Oversee special catering events and provide culinary instruction and demonstrations as required.
- Assist with managing patient feeding and retail operations as needed.
- 1-2 years of food service management experience.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Healthcare experience preferred.
- Culinary Arts degree desired.
- SERV Safe certification or HACCP knowledge required.
- Strong computer skills and experience with production systems preferred.
