We are seeking a dedicated Youth Support Specialist to join our team at Devereux Children's Behavioral Health Center (DCBHC) Inpatient Psychiatric Hospital. As a Mental Health Technician, you will play a vital role in providing support and care to adolescents with psychiatric and mental health challenges.

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the individuals you are working with are safe
  • Engage in daily activities such as recreational and social activities that enhance social skill development
  • Address and redirect inappropriate behavior of individuals you are working with
  • Implement treatment plan goals and objectives

Requirements:

  • High school diploma and two years' direct care experience or a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college with at least twelve credit hours in a human services discipline, including but not limited to psychology, sociology, social work, education, pastoral counseling, political science, health, recreation, criminal justice, counseling
  • Ability to meet 100% mastery of Safe and Positive Approaches
