Job Summary

Chicago Youth Centers is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Program Aide to join our team. As a Program Aide, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and education to our young students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in implementing the daily plan and ensuring a safe and engaging environment for children.
  • Supervise children at all times, maintaining a safe ratio and adhering to state and federal regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with teachers and staff to ensure a smooth and successful program.
  • Participate in case management services, recruitment, and enrollment of eligible families.
  • Develop resources for families and conduct follow-up on children with excessive and sporadic attendance.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or College experience (AA degree preferred).
  • Illinois Gateway Early Childhood Credential (minimum Level 1) – to be completed within 30 days of hire.
  • 1 Year experience in Head Start/Early Head Start or child care setting.
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written), good computer skills, and ability to work with diverse groups.
