Diversified Products Program Administrator

The Diversified Products Program Administrator will support the Senior Vice President, Diversified Products, in administering professional liability and assumed reinsurance programs. This role will involve coordination and communication with contacts at ASCS/AmWINS and internal divisions of ISMIE, including Administration, Legal, Compliance, Finance, and Internal Audit.
Key Responsibilities
The Diversified Products Program Administrator will be responsible for:
- Assisting the Senior Vice President, Diversified Products, in administering all active professional liability and assumed reinsurance programs
- Participating in the vetting of potential new programs, joint alliances, or book rolls at the direction of the Senior Vice President, Diversified Products
- Managing the process to obtain executive management and Board of Director approval for new program and assumed reinsurance business and the renewal of assumed reinsurance business that requires referral to the executive team
- Serving as the primary liaison within Diversified Products for Internal Audit staff charged with auditing ISMIE's MGA/MGU partners
- Performing other duties as assigned by the Senior Vice President, Diversified Products
Internal and External Contacts
The Diversified Products Program Administrator will interact with various internal and external contacts, including:
- Executive and Senior Management
- Claims, Underwriting, Finance, Actuarial, Risk Management, Information Systems, Human Resources, Management Services, Legal, Compliance, Sales and Marketing
- Retail and Wholesale Brokers, Reinsurers, & MGA/MGUs
Requirements
The Diversified Products Program Administrator must possess the following skills and abilities:
- Close visual acuity to read large amounts of written information in a standard font for an extended period of time
- Ability to view and read from computer screens, telephone screens, and printed materials
- Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication
- Ability to communicate verbally, convey, and express complex and detailed ideas, information, and instructions to others clearly, accurately, and effectively in person and via telephone
- Ability to operate a keyboard, computer, and computing device
- Ability to analyze data and information
- Ability to lead and participate in presentations and meetings
- Ability to move about to accomplish tasks, attend meetings, and scheduled events both inside the office and outside the office
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
The ideal candidate for the Diversified Products Program Administrator role should have:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent and a minimum of three years of professional liability underwriting experience to include programs produced through MGAs/MGUs and assumed reinsurance
- Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills
- Ability to multitask and handle the stress of a fast-paced work environment
