Position Summary

We are seeking a driven Product Development Engineer to be part of our New Product Development Team. This role involves overseeing various engineering initiatives, focusing on new product innovation, cost efficiency, and enhancements in quality.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple engineering projects with minimal oversight, specifically in the realm of water filtration systems.
  • Ensure projects are completed within budget and on schedule.
  • Lead cross-functional teams through the product development process.
  • Effectively communicate with both internal departments and external stakeholders.
  • Develop comprehensive documentation, including requirements, drawings, and labels.
  • Quickly assimilate new technologies and processes.
  • Identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and apply problem-solving methodologies.
  • Support quality assurance efforts by analyzing returned products and customer complaints.
  • Make informed, data-driven decisions and maintain organized documentation.
Technical Skills Required
  • Familiarity with product development methodologies and processes.
  • Proficient in quality management, Lean principles, and product development tools.
  • Experience with CAD software, preferably SolidWorks.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Detail-oriented and organized.
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with project management software.
Professional Experience
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in managing product development using established processes.
  • Experience in the filtration industry is essential.
  • Proven track record of effective customer interaction and communication.
  • Experience in high-volume production environments.
  • Knowledge of change management and document control processes.
  • Experience with competitive analysis and specification development.
  • Familiarity with regulatory certification standards is preferred.
Education Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
