Product Development Engineer

Lighthouse Professional Services is seeking a highly skilled Product Development Engineer to join our team in West Haven, CT.

Job Summary

We are looking for a dynamic professional to lead multiple engineering projects, including new product development, cost reduction, and quality improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong project management skills, proficiency in CAD software, experience with the Stage Gate process, and excellent communication abilities to work with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage multiple product development projects for water filtration systems.
  • Plan and execute projects on time and within budget.
  • Lead cross-functional teams through the Stage Gate development process.
  • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Create and maintain project documentation, drawings, and labels.
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and solve technical issues.
  • Support quality analysis on returned products and customer complaints.
Requirements
  • 7+ years of experience managing product development using the Stage Gate process.
  • Experience in filtration systems.
  • Familiarity with high-volume production and manufacturing processes.
  • Proficiency in CAD software, preferably SolidWorks.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience with project management tools like Monday.com.
  • BS Degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Chemical preferred).
  • Familiarity with NSF/ANSI certification (preferred).
