Job Description:
Global Resource Solutions, Inc. (GRS) is seeking a detail-oriented and security-conscious individual for the position of Access Control. The successful candidate will provide support with access control functions to ensure entry control points are monitored, personnel clearances are verified, and only authorized personnel are provided access to MCIA facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify personnel clearances and exchange badges as necessary.
- Conduct magnetometer searches and monitor entry control points.
- Issue visitor and temporary badges to visitors and MCIA employees.
- Properly fill out the MCIA Visitor Log and utilize the Foreign Visits System – Confirmation Module (FVS-CM) to input all foreign visitors.
- Submit and receive visitor and employee visit/perm certifications, and validate Information System Authorization Access Requests (background investigation and clearance information portion).
- Screen incoming and outgoing documents and/or packages to ensure they are properly wrapped and carried in accordance with MCIA policy.
- Conduct magnetometer and other searches of MCIA employees and visitors.
- Become familiar with and utilize MCIA's Intrusion Detection System (IDS) and alarm station.
- Conduct detailed turnovers with MCIA Command Duty Officers (CDO) and complete end-of-day checklists.
- Follow all company personnel and safety policies and perform all assigned duties in a safe work manner.
Requirements:
- Minimum High School Diploma or GED.
- Basic computing skills are necessary.
- Contractor employees will be expected to have security escort experience at DoD or government-controlled/classified facilities.
Security Clearance:
- Top Secret Clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information.
Skills:
- Certificates, Licenses, Registrations, Clearance: U.S. Citizenship.
- Basic computing skills are necessary.
- Must speak, read, write, and understand the English language, apply written rules, detailed orders, instructions, and training material.
Physical Requirements: This position requires employees to be willing and able to sit, bend, reach, stoop, squat, stand, and walk.
Communication: Excellent customer service via phone and face-to-face conversation, excellent written and oral command of English.
