As a Culinary Preparation Specialist, your responsibilities will include ensuring that each guest enjoys a remarkable experience, along with the following tasks:
  • Preparing, washing, peeling, and/or cutting various food items to meet Tender Greens standards
  • Transporting equipment, food supplies, and utensils to and from work and storage areas
  • Ensuring proper storage and labeling of food items in containers and storage areas to prevent spoilage
  • Maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment at all times
  • Assisting in the preparation of various dishes, including pantry and salad items, soups, sauces, and ingredients for daily specials
  • Keeping Managers informed of low inventory levels and any equipment malfunctions
  • Familiarizing yourself with new menu items and dishes
  • Gaining a thorough understanding of the safe operation of all kitchen equipment
  • Performing duties in other areas of the kitchen and restaurant as assigned
Requirements for this position include:
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in food service or hospitality is preferred
  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Culinary institute graduate, military training, or formal on-the-job training is preferred
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with customers and colleagues
  • Understanding of professional cooking techniques and knife skills
  • Commitment to safety compliance as a priority
  • Food handler's card is required
