About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Radiology Aide to join our team at Stamford Health. As a Radiology Aide, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our radiology department, providing exceptional patient care and support to our technologists and radiologists.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist technologists with patient preparation, transportation, and clerical tasks
  • Provide support with screening, room readiness, and diagnostic cases
  • Ensure patient privacy and excellent customer service
  • Multi-task and address issues independently, as necessary
  • Comply with established personal protective equipment requirements
  • Facilitate workflow for out-patient radiology modalities
  • Print daily schedules and communicate delays to the front desk and patients
  • Handle incoming calls and communication from doctors' offices and other departments
  • Update radiologists with pending patients at end of day
  • Perform specific tasks in various systems, including MEDITECH, MAGVIEW, HOLOGIC, SCI SOLUTIONS, and HPF
  • Upload outside imaging and reports into our PACS system
  • Retrieve prior images from the manager system
  • Provide negative results to patients for same-day breast imaging results and document accordingly
  • Assist with patient and room readiness, including patient dressing and restroom needs
  • Unload and store laundry delivery when it arrives
  • Cross-cover Out-Patient Cat Scan and MRI when needed
Requirements
  • High School Graduate or equivalent required
  • One year of Radiology department experience highly preferred
  • Maintains current BLS certification
  • Effective communication and organizational skills
