Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Catering and Front of House operations at the Grace Farms Foundation. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our Front of House, including the café and catering services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management
    • Lead and manage a team of Front of House staff, including the FOH Supervisor, to ensure exceptional customer service and a welcoming environment.
    • Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
  • Culinary and Beverage Operations
    • Oversee the preparation and presentation of food and beverages, ensuring high-quality standards and consistency.
    • Work closely with the Chef de Cuisine to develop and implement menus, recipes, and food preparation procedures.
  • Event Planning and Execution
    • Coordinate and execute catering services for events, tours, and other programs, ensuring seamless service and exceptional guest experiences.
    • Work closely with the Events Team to plan and execute events, including logistics, setup, and teardown.
  • Customer Service and Relations
    • Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers, ensuring a welcoming and inclusive environment.
    • Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, including the Director of Events, Catering, and Visitor Experience.
  • Administrative and Financial Management
    • Manage and maintain accurate records, including inventory, ordering, and financial reports.
    • Oversee the café POS system, ensuring proper functionality and analyzing reports to inform business decisions.
  • Sustainability and Compliance
    • Implement sustainable practices in the Front of House operations, including sourcing local and ethical products.
    • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food safety and staff/visitor well-being.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Minimum of 2 years prior supervisory experience in a catering, café, coffee shop, or small business restaurant management role.
    • High School diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Proven ability to lead, manage, coach, mentor, and inspire a team effectively.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to extend kindness and patience with every interaction.
    • Proven ability to work comfortably and effectively with computers, POS systems, and other visitor-facing technologies.
    • Must be an experienced team player who is highly organized, adaptable, and flexible to meet time, priority, and workload demands.
  • Physical Requirements
    • Ability to stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel, navigate the site to various locations, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, and keyboard.
    • Specific vision abilities required include close vision requirements due to computer work.
