Director of the LGBTQ Center

The Director of the LGBTQ Center at Georgetown University is a key leadership role responsible for providing direction, vision, and advocacy for LGBTQIA+ students on the Main Campus. This position oversees the development, implementation, and assessment of comprehensive educational programs to address the needs of the LGBTQIA+ community on campus.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide visionary leadership for the LGBTQ Center, ensuring a supportive and inclusive environment for LGBTQIA+ students.
  • Develop and articulate a strategic vision for enhancing LGBTQIA+ inclusivity aligned with Jesuit and Catholic traditions.
  • Work with the Office of Advancement on continued philanthropic support for the Center.


Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in a related field, such as Social Work, Counseling, or Higher Education Administration.
  • At least 5 years of experience in LGBTQIA+ student support services, program development, budget management, and leadership roles within higher education.
  • In-depth knowledge of LGBTQIA+ issues, intersectionality, and social justice, with a strong understanding of Jesuit and Catholic traditions.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and build partnerships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated commitment to creating an inclusive and respectful environment for all students.


Work Mode Designation:

This position has been designated as Hybrid. Please note that work mode designations are regularly reviewed in order to meet the evolving needs of the University. Pay Range:

The projected salary or hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is:
$66,783.00 - $126,720.23

Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University's business needs and external factors.
