Georgetown University's LGBTQ Center is seeking a visionary leader to serve as the Director of the LGBTQ Center. This key leadership role is responsible for providing direction, vision, and advocacy for LGBTQIA+ students on the Main Campus.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide leadership and vision for the LGBTQ Center, ensuring a supportive and inclusive environment for LGBTQIA+ students.
- Develop and implement comprehensive educational programs to address the needs of the LGBTQIA+ community on campus.
- Collaborate with the Office of Student Equity and Inclusion to promote LGBTQIA+ inclusivity and awareness within the campus community.
- Supervise the Center's Assistant Director and work collaboratively with other university departments and student organizations to create a supportive network for LGBTQIA+ students.
- Master's degree in a related field, such as Social Work, Counseling, or Higher Education Administration.
- At least 5 years of experience in LGBTQIA+ student support services, program development, budget management, and leadership roles within higher education.
- In-depth knowledge of LGBTQIA+ issues, intersectionality, and social justice, with a strong understanding of Jesuit and Catholic traditions.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively and build partnerships with diverse stakeholders.
This position has been designated as Hybrid. Please note that work mode designations are regularly reviewed to meet the evolving needs of the University.
