Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Research Administrator to join our team at the University of Pennsylvania. The successful candidate will provide technical and financial administration support to our faculty and research staff, ensuring the smooth execution of research projects and grants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and submit grant proposals, including budget development and justification
  • Monitor and reconcile grant expenditures, ensuring compliance with sponsor regulations and guidelines
  • Provide financial reporting and analysis to research investigators, including budget forecasts and recommendations
  • Collaborate with payroll and procurement groups to ensure accurate and timely charging of grant funds
  • Develop and maintain databases and spreadsheets to track grant activity and financial data
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree and 5-7 years of experience in research administration, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong grantsmanship, compliance, and administrative experience
  • Exceptional knowledge of spreadsheets, Excel, and MS Office suite of products
  • Experience enforcing compliance, funding policies, procedures, and regulations
  • Experience in university financial and research administration accounting systems
