Job Overview:

The Director of Finance is a key strategic leadership role responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of our client's company. This individual will work closely with the Managing Director and other senior leaders to develop, monitor, and execute corporate strategies related to working capital, equity and debt, gross profit, operating expenses, and overall profitability.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage cash flows in a leveraged environment.
  • Oversee financial capital and communicate capital requirements to stakeholders.
  • Conduct proactive analyses to drive better business decisions and manage working capital.
  • Increase equity value by growing gross profit and reducing debt.
  • Ensure efficient capital expenditures and tax minimization.
Strategic Financial Leadership:
  • Define and implement the company's financial strategy.
  • Provide financial insights to support corporate strategy and decision-making.
  • Establish and maintain internal control processes to manage business growth.
  • Lead the annual budgeting process and monthly financial reporting.
Team Leadership and Development:
  • Hire, retain, and develop top financial talent.
  • Coach and build a high-performing finance team with a focus on long-term succession planning.
Communication and Relationship Management:

Act as the primary point of contact for financial communications with the parent company, including planning, CAPEX, debt, cash flow, and profitability performance.

Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including sponsors, banks, board members, and financial advisors.

Compliance and Auditing:
  • Coordinate with external auditors for the annual audit and manage state and local tax audits.
  • Monitor debt levels and ensure compliance with debt covenants.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
Audit Leadership:
  • Lead the company's annual external audit engagement and manage periodic internal audit reviews.
Requirements:
  • BS degree in Accounting or Finance is required; CMA or CPA is preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in finance roles with progressive leadership responsibility, preferably in a leveraged environment.
Skills:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with SAP/WS1, CIS Accounting, or similar internal systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to hire, develop, and lead a high-performing finance team.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills across all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and handle multiple priorities.
  • High attention to detail, strategic thinking, and managerial courage to make tough decisions.
  • Ability to drive continuous improvement and accountability.
Additional Information:

This position operates in a dynamic and fast-paced environment with frequent interaction with senior leaders and cross-functional teams. Occasional travel to remote locations or company headquarters may be required.

The Director of Finance will report directly to the Managing Director and collaborate closely with the parent company's controlling function.
