This is a 6-month contract position, working onsite in a dynamic environment.

The successful candidate will design and develop electrical controllers and DC switching power supplies for electromechanical systems, driving innovation and excellence in the field.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop microcontroller-based electrical controllers and DC switching power supplies for electromechanical systems, ensuring high-quality and reliability.
  • Responsibilities include specification, architecture, circuit design, simulation, schematic, layout, prototype testing, qualification and certification testing, and manufacturing support, with a focus on delivering results-driven solutions.
  • Redesign or modify existing electrical systems to resolve field issues, leveraging expertise and technical knowledge to drive improvement.
  • Design PCBs using Altium Designer, applying advanced design principles and techniques to ensure optimal performance.
  • Develop system wiring harness and cable designs, ensuring seamless integration and efficient functionality.
  • Conduct hardware and software testing, verifying the integrity and reliability of electrical systems.
  • Perform system compliance testing, ensuring adherence to industry standards and regulations.
Requirements:
  • Understanding of analog and digital circuits, including motor controls, MOSFETs, op-amps, switching regulators, gate drivers, and microcontrollers, with a strong foundation in electrical engineering principles.
  • Hands-on experience with PCB design using Altium software, circuit design, troubleshooting, verification, and validation, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
  • Proficiency in software tools such as Altium or similar design tools for electrical PCB design and layout, with a strong understanding of design principles and techniques.
  • Knowledge or experience in firmware programming is a plus, with a strong foundation in programming languages and software development.
  • Knowledge or experience of RTCA DO160 test requirements for qualification and certification, with a strong understanding of industry standards and regulations.
  • Proficiency with lab equipment and troubleshooting, with a strong foundation in electrical engineering principles and practices.
