About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team at Catapult Solutions Group. As an Electrical Engineer, you will play a crucial role in designing and developing complex electrical systems for maritime vessels and shipboard systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform electrical design calculations and develop drawings for compliance, accuracy, and ease of production
  • Ensure vessel designs meet regulatory requirements and customer specifications
  • Manage technical aspects of design and analysis projects from concept to completion
  • Liaise with production teams and provide technical support during construction
  • Collaborate with project teams to implement vessel and vessel component designs
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related engineering field
  • 3+ years of relevant engineering experience in the shipbuilding industry
  • Strong working knowledge of Maritime Regulatory Authorities (e.g., ABS, NAVSEA, MIL, USCG, IMO)
  • Demonstrated experience in the design and construction of US Navy vessels
  • Thorough knowledge of power distribution, motor controllers, variable frequency drives, lighting systems, and communication systems

Additional Requirements
  • Must be 18 years of age or older at time of application
  • Able to provide proof of US Person Status
  • No felony convictions of Theft/Deception or Violent crimes within seven years from disposition date
  • No felony convictions of Drug crimes within three years from disposition date
  • Willing to submit to a drug screen and background check
