Electrical Engineer - Faregate Installation

Placement Club is seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to support the deployment of new faregates throughout our transportation system. As an Electrical Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful installation and operational efficiency of these systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the deployment and installation of new faregates, ensuring seamless integration with existing electrical systems.
  • Perform fieldwork, including troubleshooting and resolving technical issues related to faregate installations, to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure proper integration of electrical systems with faregates, guaranteeing a high level of quality and reliability.
  • Provide technical support to field technicians and contractors during the installation process, ensuring that all electrical work is completed to the highest standards.
  • Conduct testing and commissioning of faregates to ensure operational readiness and compliance with system specifications, ensuring that all electrical systems meet the required safety standards.
  • Assist in the design, review, and optimization of electrical systems associated with faregates, ensuring that they are efficient, reliable, and meet the required safety standards.
  • Ensure all electrical work complies with relevant safety standards and regulations, maintaining a safe working environment for all personnel.
  • Document all field activities, including issues encountered, solutions implemented, and test results, to ensure that all relevant information is captured and available for future reference.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) required.
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a relevant field, with a strong background in electrical systems and faregate installation.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in the field, ensuring that all electrical systems are functioning optimally.
  • Hands-on experience with electrical systems, including wiring, power distribution, and control systems, with a strong understanding of electrical safety standards and regulations.
  • Familiarity with transit or similar large-scale infrastructure projects is a plus, with a strong understanding of the complexities involved in electrical system integration.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and engaged throughout the installation process.
  • Willingness to travel to various field locations within the transportation system, with a strong ability to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities.
