About the Role
As a member of the CBRE team, the Building Systems Technician will play a crucial role in the upkeep of various facilities, ensuring that all mechanical and electrical systems operate smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular preventive maintenance and repairs on various mechanical and electrical systems.
- Perform routine inspections to identify potential issues and execute necessary repairs.
- Assist in the installation and modification of building systems and equipment.
- Manage work orders and utilize available systems to monitor task completion.
- Support energy efficiency initiatives by ensuring optimal operation of all building systems.
- Evaluate existing installations for adherence to safety regulations and building codes.
- Utilize established procedures to address straightforward challenges and communicate effectively.
- Contribute to team objectives through defined tasks and responsibilities.
- Deliver quality work by adhering to established procedures under close supervision.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1-2 years of relevant experience; a combination of education and experience may be considered.
- Physical capability to perform the job, including lifting heavy loads and navigating various environments.
- Ability to follow established routines and standards in daily tasks.
- Effective communication skills for exchanging clear information.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Strong organizational skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
