Job Summary

The Obstetrics Technician will provide assistance during surgical procedures performed in the department, demonstrating knowledge and skills necessary to ensure patient safety and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in patient care to assigned patients in accordance with patient care standards
  • Perform delegated duties consistent with scope of practice and functions within the philosophy and overall plan of care delivery
  • Provide assistance in setting up equipment and sterile supplies as needed for assigned cases
  • Break down cases at the end of the procedure
  • Perform clerical and receptionist duties in accordance with the philosophy, goals, and objectives of Swedish Medical Center
Requirements
  • Current BLS Certification through AHA or ARC
  • Colorado Surgical Tech Registration on DORA
  • Operating Room Technician Certification preferred
  • Graduation from an accredited program for Operating Room Technicians
  • 1-2 years experience as OR Technician preferred, but not required
