Job Summary

This position will play a critical role in the management of patients requiring specialty pharmacy medications in ambulatory clinics. The successful candidate will provide strong clinical oversight and patient education, ensuring high-functioning specialty pharmacies that improve clinic workflow, increase patient satisfaction, and increase the volume of specialty medications dispensed through UK pharmacies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support ambulatory clinics in the management of patients requiring specialty pharmacy medications
  • Provide strong clinical oversight and patient education
  • Collaborate and communicate with multidisciplinary team members involved in providing services to patients
  • Establish safe practices for infusion therapy handling
Requirements
  • Strong clinical skills and knowledge of inpatient drug distribution and dispensing
  • Ability to prioritize and excellent communication skills
  • Desire to teach and motivation to excel in this position
  • PharmD and completion of an ASHP-accredited PGY1 residency program (or equivalent experience) preferred
