This position plays a crucial role in providing high-quality specialty pharmacy services to patients enrolled in the UK HealthCare Specialty Pharmacy service. The successful candidate will oversee various aspects of prescription processing, workflow improvement, mail order support, patient counseling, and coordination with clinic-based and call-center based specialty pharmacists.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure the appropriateness of prescription processing and workflow improvement
- Provide patient counseling and coordination of prescriptions with clinic-based and call-center based specialty pharmacists
- Develop and maintain knowledge of drug-specific storage and shipping requirements, as well as current laws and procedures
- BS Pharmacy or Pharm D degree
- Licensed Pharmacist in Kentucky
- At least 0 years of experience in ambulatory/retail pharmacy
- Ambulatory/retail pharmacy experience
