Role Summary

The Room Attendant plays a vital role in delivering an outstanding experience for our guests. The primary responsibility of this position is to thoroughly sanitize and maintain guest accommodations during and after their stay. Room Attendants are also expected to assist guests with inquiries and provide directions within the resort. A professional yet warm demeanor is essential when interacting with guests, ensuring that all questions are addressed effectively.

Compensation: $17-$19 per hour (Part-Time)

Key Responsibilities

  • Arrive at work in a clean uniform with nametag at the scheduled time.
  • Efficiently clean assigned guest rooms as instructed by Housekeeping Management, adhering to Forbes/Mirbeau standards.
  • Ensure all housekeeping carts and storage areas are well-stocked with necessary supplies and linens.
  • Remove all used linens, glassware, and trash from guest rooms.
  • Dust furniture, pictures, and windowsills; wash floors and vacuum carpets.
  • Organize furniture, adjust curtains, check light bulbs, and replace promotional materials.
  • Sanitize bathroom fixtures, bathtubs, shower stalls, tiles, sinks, counters, and toilets.
  • Make beds, replenish room amenities, and verify that all furniture is intact and functional.
  • Inspect for personal items left behind and submit them to lost and found.
  • Conduct a final inspection of rooms and report readiness to Management.
  • In occupied rooms, perform cleaning similar to check-out procedures while neatly arranging guest belongings.
  • Communicate any issues or unusual occurrences to Housekeeping Management.
  • Prepare rollaway beds or cribs and store them as needed.
  • Address guest complaints or requests, ensuring the highest level of satisfaction.
  • Maintain cleanliness in housekeeping storage areas and monitor public restrooms throughout the day.
  • Keep all housekeeping carts and used linen bins organized in hallways for guest convenience.
  • Transport used linens during breaks to facilitate the turnover of clean linens.
  • Ensure all keys, equipment, and supplies are utilized properly and returned to the Housekeeping Department as required.
  • Participate in all scheduled meetings as directed by the resort.
  • Complete any additional tasks as assigned by Housekeeping Management.

Qualifications and Skills

Ability to quickly learn job responsibilities during a brief training period and follow instructions efficiently. Previous experience in hotel housekeeping is preferred. Must be in good health and capable of standing, walking, and lifting up to 40 lbs for extended periods. A neat appearance, customer service orientation, and attention to detail are essential. The ability to work independently or collaboratively with team members is required.
