As an Academic Program Manager I at InsideHigherEd, you will play a critical role in overseeing the administrative and logistical support for assigned academic programs. Your primary responsibility will be to facilitate the successful offering and conduct of these programs, ensuring seamless student recruitment and retention processes. You will work closely with academic administrators, faculty members, prospective students, and enrolled students to provide guidance and support.
Key Responsibilities- Program Development and Support
- Coordinate the application process, including responding to prospect inquiries, scheduling interviews, and maintaining applicant records.
- Oversee student recruitment and program promotional event preparation.
- Student Success and Engagement
- Supervise and provide advice to students and prospective students regarding assigned program offerings and academic progress.
- Prepare and disseminate communications materials regarding programs.
- Operations and Logistics
- Develop and administer program budgets.
- Prepare reports related to program performance.
- Review program processes and procedures, recommending modifications as necessary.
- Bachelor's Degree in Academic Affairs, Business Management, Education, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Five to six years of job-related experience.
- Knowledge and skills related to educational program management and administration.
- Supervision, customer service, oral and written communications, organization, multi-tasking, and maintaining accounting records.
- Use of basic and specialized computer applications.
