PCH, Inc. is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Banquet Setup Supervisor to join our hospitality team. As a key member of our catering operations, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth execution of events and meetings, working closely with our Catering Service Manager and staff.
Key Responsibilities- Event Setup and Coordination: Ensure the proper setup and breakdown of all catering functions, including meetings, meal functions, receptions, dances, and exhibits.
- Team Supervision: Supervise and assign duties to catering aides under your supervision, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Quality Control: Inspect meeting rooms to ensure proper setup and alignment with Banquet Event Orders.
- Training and Development: Identify, train, and approve a qualified backup catering aide, and assist in on-the-job training of catering aides.
- Inventory and Scheduling: Assist in inventories of equipment as necessary and help create a weekly schedule for catering aides based on projected sales.
- Process Improvement: Recommend new products or methods of operation to the Catering Service Manager to enhance our catering services.
- Communication and Teamwork: Attend all department meetings and maintain open communication with the Catering Service Manager and staff.
- Complex knowledge of catering operations and procedures.
