Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Director of Quality and EHS at Leixir Dental Group. This is a critical role that will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality and environmental health and safety programs across our 7 US locations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage quality and environmental health and safety programs to ensure compliance with local and national regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with leadership and staff across all US locations to implement and maintain quality and environmental health and safety standards.
  • Conduct comprehensive policy and compliance audits throughout our US facilities to ensure adherence to quality and environmental health and safety regulations.
  • Develop and implement quality policies, procedures, and standards to identify and address quality issues in a timely manner.
  • Establish and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure quality and environmental health and safety performance and drive improvement efforts.
  • Track OSHA recordable incidents, rates, and trends, and maintain company compliance with all appropriate OSHA and state safety regulations.
  • Act as a coach and mentor to business unit site leaders and teams regarding safety tools, environmental health and safety system maturity, concepts, divisional read across initiatives, and mindset.
  • Participate in the strategic planning of manufacturing processes, facility modifications, and new equipment and process installs to ensure that potential environmental and safety-related consequences are considered.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement by championing quality and environmental health and safety initiatives, fostering teamwork, and recognizing achievements.
  • Manage/execute targeted quality, regulatory, and environmental health and safety initiatives across Leixir business units.
  • Attend required management team meetings and lead quality and safety committees.
  • Maintain awareness of FDA requirements for dental products and ensure appropriate reporting of changes to Leixir's manufacturing or product portfolio.
  • Participate in industry and professional interest groups to stay current on trends, issues, regulatory changes, and technological innovation.
Requirements
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Organizational and time management skills.
  • Fluency in Microsoft Office programs.
  • Ability to manage relationships with various vendors and professional third-party environmental consultants.
  • Knowledge of FDA, OSHA, and environmental regulations within a Class 1 medical device manufacturing organization, including federal, state, and local laws, codes, and regulations.
  • Ability to work independently to execute multiple time-sensitive projects at one time.
  • Knowledge of methods and equipment associated with general production processes.
Education and Experience
  • Required:
    • Bachelor's degree in engineering, safety management, or related field and/or relevant equivalent education.
    • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a quality/health and safety leadership role.
    • Multi-site EHS and quality management experience.
    • Must have experience of implementing ISO quality systems (ISO 9001 as a minimum) and EH&S programs across multiple locations.
    • Valid driver's license.
  • Preferred:
    • Master's degree in an engineering, safety, or quality-related field.
    • ASQ qualified.
    • 6+ years of experience in safety management, specifically in a manufacturing or processing facility.
    • EHS-related certification by a professional EHS association (CSP, CIH).
