Educational Program Supervisor

The Educational Program Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing educational personnel who provide instructional services to inmates/residents in a correctional setting. This position is vital in maintaining student enrollment within the Education Department and ensuring adequate staffing while also engaging in teaching as needed.
- Supervision of Educational Staff: Oversee education personnel in their responsibilities and conduct evaluations as outlined by facility and organizational policies.
- Staff Direction: Guide staff in executing their roles in accordance with established policies and procedures to ensure a safe, secure, and effective educational program. Uphold standards for classroom environment and behavior.
- Curriculum Development: Assist in the design, implementation, and evaluation of curricula and educational programs that cater to the needs, interests, and capabilities of inmates/students.
- Program Oversight: Supervise educational initiatives and engage with inmates daily to promote their development plans and maintain orderly operations.
- Staff Development: Aid in the creation of educational programs for staff to ensure adherence to state, facility, or partner certification and training requirements.
- Licensure Verification: Ensure that department staff maintain the necessary licensure, if applicable.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university is required.
- A minimum of three years of experience in a full-time professional educational role is required.
- Preferred experience includes one year in educational administration or supervisory roles.
- A teaching license is preferred.
- Must possess or be eligible for certification, license, or other credentials as required by contract and/or state regulations.
- Continued employment in this role will depend on obtaining and/or maintaining required agency credentials.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office or similar software applications is required.
- A valid driver's license is required.
- Minimum age requirement: Must be at least 18 years of age.
