Job Summary

The Tennessee Board of Regents is seeking a highly skilled and experienced educator to join our team as an Electrical and Plumbing Construction Technology Instructor. As a key member of our faculty, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction in all phases of the Electrical and Plumbing Construction Technology program.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement individualized instructional plans to prepare students for careers in electrical and plumbing construction
  • Provide technical instruction relevant to the actual work environment using the prescribed program curriculum
  • Recruit and retain students, working in harmony with the college's goals and objectives
  • Develop and maintain curriculum for local industry, ensuring efficient and safe delivery of instruction
  • Evaluate and solve procedural problems associated with the program
  • Perform related tasks and other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of a certificate or diploma in instructional area or equivalent training with credentials in a related field
  • Limited Licensed Electrician (LLE) and Limited Licensed Plumber (LLP) or ability to obtain license within one year
  • Minimum three years of employment experience in the occupation to be taught within the last five years
  • Strong customer service skills and effective oral and written communication skills
  • Good organizational and planning skills
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective interpersonal working relationships with students, faculty, staff, and the general public
  • Willingness to learn and use individualized instructional techniques
