Position Overview

ELIGIBLE FOR $1000 SIGN-ON BONUS

The Certified Healthcare Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the delivery of primary healthcare services and managing patient care under the guidance of a licensed Physician. Responsibilities encompass assisting the physician in executing nursing care as instructed, overseeing various functions within the medical office, and may extend to duties in both administrative and clinical settings. This position entails full access to patient health records.

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM

Travel Requirement: The Healthcare Assistant will be required to travel between multiple clinics based on a predetermined schedule. Compensation and mileage reimbursement will be provided.

Qualifications

Minimum educational requirement includes a high school diploma or equivalent.

  • Must hold a Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential, or have successfully completed the Assessment-based Recognition in Order Entry (ABR-OE) program through the American Association of Medical Assistants. If not currently registered or certified, completion of the ABR-OE program is mandatory upon hiring. All certifications must remain current and updated prior to expiration.
  • Comprehensive understanding of medical practice operations and patient care, including examination, diagnostic, and treatment protocols; familiarity with medical equipment and safety measures. Training in venipuncture is preferred, with the ability to perform this procedure accurately.
  • Experience in clerical tasks such as scheduling, billing, coding, and managing medical records, along with proficiency in medical office technology. Strong computer skills, including familiarity with business software, are essential.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, with a keen attention to detail, capacity to manage multiple tasks, and outstanding customer service skills.
  • Current CPR certification is required or must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
Physical Requirements
  • Must demonstrate a full range of motion to meet the physical demands of the position, including walking, kneeling, standing, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, reaching, and sitting for extended periods. The ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds is necessary.
