Position Overview

ELIGIBLE FOR $1000 SIGN ON BONUS

The Certified Clinical Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the provision of primary healthcare services and managing patient care under the guidance of a licensed Physician. Key responsibilities include aiding the physician in executing nursing care as directed, overseeing various functions within the medical office, and may encompass tasks in both administrative and clinical settings. This position grants comprehensive access to patient health records.

Work Schedule: Monday to Thursday 8am to 4pm and Friday 8am to 12 noon.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
  • Must hold a Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) designation, or have successfully completed the Assessment-based Recognition in Order Entry (ABR-OE) program from the American Association of Medical Assistants. If not currently registered or certified, completion of the ABR-OE program is required upon employment.
  • Proficient understanding of all facets of medical practice and patient care, including examination, diagnostic, and treatment methodologies; familiarity with medical equipment and instruments; awareness of safety risks and preventive measures. Training in venipuncture is preferred, along with the capability to perform venipuncture competently.
  • Experience in clerical tasks such as scheduling, payment processing, billing/coding, and maintaining medical records, along with a solid understanding of medical office equipment. Strong computer skills, including proficiency in business software, are essential.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities. Must demonstrate attention to detail, the capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and possess excellent customer service skills.
  • Current CPR certification is required or must be obtained within 30 days of employment.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must have full range of motion to meet the basic physical fitness test for the role, which includes walking, kneeling, standing, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, reaching, and sitting for prolonged periods. Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 30 pounds is necessary.
