The Certified Clinical Assistant will play a vital role in supporting both front and back office operations to ensure the clinic functions smoothly. This position is essential in delivering outstanding service to patients and visitors alike.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and record vital signs.
- Document patient information accurately.
- Assist healthcare providers during patient examinations.
- Administer injections as prescribed by medical professionals.
- Prepare blood samples for laboratory analysis and conduct necessary tests.
- Perform both clinical and administrative duties relevant to the healthcare environment.
- Work under the guidance of licensed medical personnel.
- Support health assessments, minor treatments, and maintain sanitation standards.
- Organize and maintain patient files and medical records.
Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited medical assistant program, with certification or registration from a recognized institution. If not certified/registered, must obtain certification within a specified timeframe after hiring.
- Preferred: At least one year of experience in a healthcare practice setting.
- Familiarity with medical terminology is advantageous.
- Proficient in business office procedures, with strong grammar, spelling, and punctuation skills for accurate patient information processing.
- Exhibit a positive demeanor, professionalism, and strong customer service abilities.
- Ability to comprehend and follow both oral and written instructions, adapting to guidelines and procedures as necessary.
- Demonstrate initiative, problem-solving skills, and the ability to multitask effectively.
- Remain calm and efficient in emergency situations, with a knack for identifying issues and proposing solutions.
- Understand organizational policies, regulations, and safety precautions to maintain a secure work environment.
- Possess strong interpersonal skills, serving clients with respect and without bias.
- BLA Certification is required within a designated period after hiring and must be kept current.
Physical Requirements:
Candidates must be capable of performing a full range of motion, including walking, kneeling, standing, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, reaching, and sitting for extended durations. The ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 30 pounds is also necessary.
