General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team in San Diego. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and developing control electronics for motion control products.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and integrate motion control electronics for brushless DC (BLDC) motors.
- Perform electrical engineering tasks related to component selection, circuit noise analysis, packaging concepts, and testing.
- Plan and develop experimental test programs.
- Analyze test data and determine if design meets functional and performance specifications.
- Participate in program management and perform related administrative work.
- Perform calculations, circuit simulation, tolerance analyses, and reliability analyses.
- Provide technical leadership to subordinate engineers and technicians.
- Assist in establishing milestone schedules and perform to program schedules.
- Contribute to technical proposals and assist in analyzing customer requests.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years hands-on engineering experience in a high technology, manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of electro-mechanical testing methods, data collection and analysis, and equipment used in testing.
- Experience with embedded C for motor control and knowledge of feedback devices for motor control.
- Strong research, design, and development knowledge within the electrical engineering discipline.
- Proficient with MATLAB and SIMULINK applications.
